Above the Clouds

I just posted this picture on Instagram with a Bible verse. I took this picture in April 2021 a couple weeks before I turned 40. I’d never been on a plane before this trip. My husband and I flew to Chicago to visit his daughter. He’s from there. This picture was out the window when we departed Chicago O’Hare and headed black to Florida. The lights below are from the city. Having not been on a plane before this trip, I was a little nervous but this picture was so pretty.

I was almost 40 and had never been on a plane. I had barely left Florida. I had barely left Polk County. I was content where I was and how I was and who I was. But someone showed me there was more out there. You can use that analogy with whatever life circumstance you're in right now.

I pondered this business for probably far longer than I should have. I was comfortable just thinking about it and hoping for some day. Then I’d hear a song or a message from a pastor with common themes about not waiting and taking the opportunities we’ve been given.

It doesn’t matter how old or young you are. It doesn’t matter where you’re from or where you hope to be going. If you have something in your life you’ve wanted to do, do it. Get on the plane, take that trip, start that business, make that call. You never know what beauty may be waiting above the clouds.
